Church without pews or a building, only magpies, lorikeets and kookaburras in the choir and trees the instruments played on the whim of the breeze. Walk, talk, reflect and meditate in the sacred place of God’s creating.

Stations of the Cross Art Exhibition 2018

A collaboration of Northmead Performing Arts High School, The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Charles Sturt University and Northmead Uniting Church, this art exhibition features the work of some of Australia’s leading artists.  Their engagement with the Stations of the Cross provides fresh and unexpected insights into the intersection of the Easter story with our lives today.

Where:          Northmead Performing Arts High School,  end of Campbell Street, Northmead.

When:            22 to 1 April 2018 from 10.00am to 4.00pm

Opportunities:

  1. Come to the opening: March 22 at 7.00 pm (Prior to the opening there will be a Curator’s tour at 6.00 pm)
  2. Group Visits: Phone or email to book a Curator’s tour with Rev Doug Purnell or another guide – (COST: $2.00 per person)
  3. Retreat at the Stations of the Cross: a guided meditation on the 16 Art Works run by Eremos on the morning of Saturday, March 24, 10.00 am – 1.00 pm
  4. Leaders’ Day: led by the Moderator, Rev Simon Hansford, for ministers and worship leaders  as they prepare for Easter services on Friday, March 23 – morning tea at 9:30 am with a 10.00 am start, finishing at – 3.00 pm. Please register by phone or email by 16th March.
  5. Good Friday Service: led by Rev Niall Reid – March 30 at 9.00 am
